Seamus Holden Father's Day is fast approaching here on Sunday June 20th.  I know how hard it can be to buy for men, well my wife and children always tell me I'm hard to buy for! It really doesn't help that I make so many of the typical gifts you would buy for men. Well it doesn't help them, but it might help you,  I've added a few gift ideas below.  As someone long ago who got to wear the Dublin U21's Hurling jersey my own personal favourite are the limited edition Sliotars.  They are hand-stitched here in Ireland  by one of the last traditional Sliotar makers using our finest vegetable tanned leathers.

This past year with everything that has happened I've been reflecting more on the past as well as the future. It's 30 years now since my own dad Seamus passed away, he would have been 90 this year. It was family holidays as a child that first introduced me to Dingle and led to me settling here.

My dad was still alive when I found leatherwork, and for those first few years as the business became established in  Dingle. I think today he would be very proud of what we have achieved. Quite a lot has changed in those thirty years, I've now got 5 amazing  children of my own. The foundations of the business are still solid and we are still here doing our own thing, our own way for people who know their own minds. 0ver 30 years later, it is a real privilege that my passion of making slow-crafted Leathergoods is still how I earn my livelihood.  It has supported me, my family and all of those who work with us and have worked with us over the years.

We get to spend our days making high quality leathergoods in an idyllic location, what more could we ask for!Leathergoods gift ideas for men, for Father's Day
