This past year with everything that has happened I've been reflecting more on the past as well as the future. It's 30 years now since my own dad Seamus passed away, he would have been 90 this year. It was family holidays as a child that first introduced me to Dingle and led to me settling here.
My dad was still alive when I found leatherwork, and for those first few years as the business became established in Dingle. I think today he would be very proud of what we have achieved. Quite a lot has changed in those thirty years, I've now got 5 amazing children of my own. The foundations of the business are still solid and we are still here doing our own thing, our own way for people who know their own minds. 0ver 30 years later, it is a real privilege that my passion of making slow-crafted Leathergoods is still how I earn my livelihood. It has supported me, my family and all of those who work with us and have worked with us over the years.
We get to spend our days making high quality leathergoods in an idyllic location, what more could we ask for!

Féile na Bealtaine is a special weekend in Dingle and the largest arts festival held on the Dingle Peninsula. Held over the May Bank Holiday weekend it is a celebration of the arrival of summer, celebrating the Celtic festival of Bealtaine. Traditionally in Ireland the year was divided in two and celebrated with the feasts of Bealtaine (May) and Samhain (November).
